BayBatt at University Information Day

03.03.2026

Tagesablauf mit Lageplan

On February 12, 2026, the University of Bayreuth celebrated the 15th anniversary of its University Information Day (HIT). It started in 2012 with 15 lectures for high school students in four lecture halls – now there are over 50 program items offered throughout the campus.

The day offers prospective students the opportunity to get to know the campus and its undergraduate programs directly on site. The core of the HIT consists of information lectures on the university's bachelor's and state examination programs and sample lectures from the individual degree programs. The program is supplemented by counseling services on general study topics such as stays abroad and BAföG. During the lunch break, the student councils also provide an insight into everyday student life.

Members of BayBatt participated in four program items this year:

More than 1,500 people from over 20 schools registered this year, with the catchment area extending as far as Hof, Tirschenreuth, Weiden, and Coburg. In addition, individual prospective students from all over Germany and neighboring countries also traveled to the event spontaneously and without registering. The total number of visitors this year was around 1,800.

Further information on this year's University Information Day can be found in ubtaktuell and on the website of the Student Advisory Office (in German).
