A large number of PhD students are carrying out PhD projects in the field of electrochemical energy storage or battery technology in the working groups of the BayBatt members. In addition to the professorships, BayBatt provides centralised co-financing for the PhD positions of its members.

In addition to this financial support, the Research Training Group promotes networking among PhD students from the various faculties and departments through joint events, professional exchange in the BayBatt seminar and networking events at BayBatt.

Doctoral candidates at the Faculty of Engineering have the opportunity to pursue a doctorate in the structured program “Battery Technology” through the Bayreuth Graduate Center for Engineering Sciences. Further information can be found under the tab BattTech.
