As part of the TAO theme year "Energy Future Upper Franconia", BayBatt member Prof Dr Fridolin Röder (Junior Professorship for Methods of Battery Management) will give a lecture on the topic: "Batteries - more than current and voltage: How models help to decipher the complex processes in the cell".
The lecture provides a clear insight into the structure and functioning of modern batteries on various scales - from the molecular process to the battery system and its management. The focus is on how models help to visualise and understand the complex processes in battery cells. Specific examples will be used to show what models can achieve and why they are a key engineering tool in battery research. The Bavarian Center for Battery Technology emphasises the importance of interdisciplinary and cross-scale research in order to make batteries more efficient and safer in the future.
The lecture will be held in German.
