BayBatt Advisory Board member Prof. Adelhelm receives Berliner Wissenschaftspreis

BayBatt Advisory Board member and Professor of Physical Chemistry of Materials at Humboldt University in Berlin, Prof. Dr. Philipp Adelhelm, was awarded the Berliner Wissenschaftspreis (Berlin Science Prize) 2024 yesterday. The materials scientist and electrochemist conducts research into the development of sustainable batteries, which play a key role in the success of the energy transition. He is one of the leading international experts in the field of sodium-ion batteries.
With his achievements in the field of battery research, Professor Adelhelm has made groundbreaking and internationally pioneering contributions to solving pressing future issues in energy supply. According to the jury, Adelhelm and his research group have made a decisive contribution to the success of Berlin as a centre of science in electrochemistry and sustainability research.
