Electrochemistry 2026 in Bayreuth

02.06.2026

We're delighted that the Electrochemistry 2026 conference will take place in Bayreuth from September 22 to 25, 2026.

Since 2008, the conference has been held every two years and brings together scientists from various subfields of electrochemistry to discuss the latest trends and applications. During the conference in Bayreuth, renowned electrochemists from Germany and abroad will present their research findings and current trends. Parallel sessions will cover nearly all topics of electrochemistry, ranging from fundamental research to technical applications. There will be a dedicated session on energy storage (batteries and supercapacitors), but many topics in the other sessions are also highly relevant to BayBatt researchers.

The conference is organized jointly by the GDCh division of Electrochemistry and the GDCh working group on Electrochemical Analytical Methods, as well as DBG, DECHEMA, AGEF, GfKORR and DGO. The conference chairs are BayBatt members Prof. Dr.-Ing. Christina Roth (Chair of Electrochemical Process Engineering) and Prof. Dr. Roland Marschall (Physical Chemistry III).

Registration is open, and early-bird rates are available until 15 June. Last-minute posters may also be submitted as long as space is available. For students with an active contribution (presentation or poster), scholarships are available.

Further information on the event can be found on the conference website.
