Earlier this week, Bayreuth’s mayor, Dr. Andreas Zippel, visited BayBatt together with the SPD’s economic policy spokesperson in the Bundestag, MdB Sebastian Roloff. They were also accompanied by Steohan Unglaub, the SPD’s parliamentary group leader in the district council, and District Councilwoman Silke Winkelmaier.
Board member Prof. Dr.-Ing. Ralf Moos briefed the group on the origins and current work of the research center. Prof. Dr. Matteo Bianchini provided insight into his group’s research on sodium-ion batteries, and Tilo Held presented the WiNBat continuing education project. We would also like to extend a special thank you to BayBatt member Prof. Dr. Markus Retsch, who represented the university governing board in his capacity as Vice President for Research.
The visit provided an opportunity for a constructive exchange on local and regional issues, for which we are very grateful to all participants!
